How to Match Using Hair Sample

The best option to match is to use a sample from your own hair. Why? Because else nothing comes as close to natural. Your natural hair will allow us to match your true color gradation from the source!

For best results, we recommend taking each sample in 100-200 strands of hairs and be about 2-3″ in length. The more hair you can provide, the easier it will be for us to analyze the color.

NOTE: Please do not cover your hair samples with tape. Even clear tape will alter true light reflection and throw off color accuracy. Also, random clippings won’t work! Light reflects differently on tiny clippings so the color can appear different.

If your hair is the same color all over, please just provide one sample. However, if your hair is a different color in different areas (e.g. you have more grey in the sides), for best results, please take samples from 3-6 areas:

    • Back: As close to the center of the back of your head as possible

    • Sides: Approximately 1-2″ above the top of your ear

    • Temples: At the front most part of your hair on the sides

    • Crown: The back, top of your head (if possible)

    • Top: The front, top of your head (if possible)

    • Front: At the hairline or bang area (if possible)

NOTE: Please cut a sample from each area and label each one, informing us what part of the head it came from (e.g. front, top, sides, crown, temple or back etc.) Please make sure the hair is clean. This is important because dirty hair will not show its true color.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND SENDING IN YOUR HAIR SAMPLE with TO SENDING PHOTOS BECAUSE PHOTOS ARE NOT ABLE TO REFLECT THE REAL COLOR OF YOUR HAIR. ALSO, COMPUTER MONITORS AND PHONE SCREENS ALSO OFTEN FAIL TO DISPLAY THE COLOR IN ITS ORIGINAL ACTUAL TONE. THERE IS ALWAYS A COLOR DIFFERENCE.

If you are unable to provide a sample, we can provide a professionally recommended color chart giving you the opportunity to browse through numerous colors and select the perfect match for you.

Pick the closest three to five color swatches from the Men’s hair system color ring for men. Also, pick from women’s color ring using process of elimination. Choose the proper color swatch that best matches your own growing hair.

When  checking the color swatches, notice the color in both artificial light and natural daylight. Sunlight could help you to choose the right color for your hair system because it is the fullest form of light available.

After you have selected your color, please return the chart with your order details and we will refund or credit this amount towards your purchase.

NOTE: You may have a color ring from another hair company, but that won’t work when choosing a color to make a system since we may not have the same ring. From colors to swatch coding, everything is different and the margin for error is widened. When choosing your color, be sure to use the color ring we provide.

Choosing from Color Swatches viewed on our Website (also Not Recommended)

Further down on the list of preferences for best match is the Zohair Couture Color Image viewed from our website. We have taken some photos of each of our colors and have listed them out for your selection. You could compare those colors and find out a color which matches your own hair color the best or a color you like the best. Your order will then be processed based on your selection.

IMPORTANT REMINDER IF USING OUR COLOR SWATCHES:

Although we have done our best to display the colors of the products shown on this web site as accurately as possible, keep in mind the tendency of cameras and screens to change the appearance of the hair. We cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any color will be accurate. To improve accuracy we highly recommend you send in a sample of your hair.)
