How to Care for a wig

Important "Do's" and "Don'ts''

Here are some tips for wearing wigs that can help you look great and feel comfortable ¹:

1. Wear the right fit: If it’s too small, it’ll be uncomfortable; if it’s too large, it’ll look out of place.

2. Know your type: Synthetic wigs are easier to maintain than human hair wigs but human hair wigs look more natural.

3. Invest in lace front wigs: Lace front wigs have a natural-looking hairline that blends well with your skin.

4. Switch up your wigs every day: This will help prevent damage and keep your wigs looking fresh.

5. Simply set and forget: Once you’ve put on your wig, you can simply set it and forget it for the rest of the day.

6. Put a wig cap liner on: This will help keep your wig in place and prevent it from slipping off.

7. Wash your wig: You should wash your wig every 10-14 days if you wear it daily.

8. Use a wide-tooth comb: This will help prevent damage to your wig.

Remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions for taking care of your wig

Make sure to get detailed washing directions from the manufacture or seller .

100% Human Hair Wavy/ Curly Wig

Human hair specially chosen for its curl ability reverts to curls and waves. Just spray with water until curls appear, then air dry. Blow dry to straighten.

Styling Tips

Have a lot of hair? Wear a wig cap to hold it in place. For longer hair, wrap or braid it so it’s smooth under the cap.

Take your wig out of the box. Give it a shake to “wake up” its built-in stylizing. Do not shake curly styles. Place wig at front of your natural hairline and gently pull it back to the nape of your neck. Make it smaller or roomier with the adjustable tabs. Bend ear tabs for a secure fit.

Matching your own hair color? Place wig about ½” behind your hairline an style the front of your own hair into the wig. Tousle your wig for an even more natural look.

To further customize your wig, have your stylist trim it to fit your face shape.

Cleansing & Conditioning

Before washing, carefully detangle wigs using a wide-tooth comb. Do not comb curly styles.

Soak for 5 minutes in a solution of lukewarm water and a capful of wig soap.

Swirl gently without rubbing or wringing.

       Rinse in lukewarm water.

Blot dry with a towel to remove excess water.

While still damp, spritz lightly with conditioner.

Drying

After conditioning, place on a wig stand and air dry at room temperature for tighter curls and waves ( not in direct sunlight).

Blow dry for looser curls and waves or a straight look with extra volume.

When dry, brush, comb, or finger style to achieve your desired look. Do not brush curly styles.

Making Your Look Last

Always keep your own hair clean to reduce washing frequency.

Use high end formulated wig care products to extend the life of your wig.

Style your wig with a blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron or hot rollers up to 350*F

When brushing, start at the ends and gently work your way to the roots.

To allow proper cleaning time, keep an extra wig on hand as a backup

 How To

Put On Your Full Lace Wig?

Prepare your hair by creating a flat surface for the unit to sit on.

You can braid your hair down, and/or apply a wig cap, or use a special scalp protective solution to wrap your hair with.

GRO-PROTECT SOLUTIONS, please follow the directions!  this is a smart way of protecting your hair line from the glue and

adhesive and to get your hair as flat as possible in order to make the wig fitting look more natural

Fit the unit on your head and evaluate how and where you would like the hairline. The goal is to find where the hairline will

look most natural.

Gradually start trimming the excess lace as you are now creating your hairline. Only cut small amounts off at a time to

achieve the desired fit.

After you have finished trimming the lace, clean all around your hairline with soap and water and then clean with surgical

spirit. Wait for this to dry and then apply your scalp protector. This protects the scalp from the adhesive and also provides a

better surface for the adhesive to adhere to the unit. Once again, wait for the scalp protector to dry then apply adhesive to

the circumference of your head. Let the adhesive dry tacky to the touch. Place the front of your unit onto your head first. In

this way, it will be easier for you to accurately judge the center of the unit and most importantly, the final fit. Press firmly

down all the way around and when finished, let your unit rest, preferably for 24 hours. During this time, you should not get

your new unit wet.

How to avoid the tangle and shedding?

When you wash the hair, please use neutral shampoo and spring water or distilled water. Attention: please DO NOT use tap

water; tap water is filled with many chemicals and chlorine which can cause tangles. Non-neutral shampoo can cause

shedding also.

How to remove the full lace wig?

Pull all hair up into a ponytail, so you do not get adhesive on the hair.

Apply the lace adhesive remover to the adhesive around the perimeter of hairline

Gradually remove the lace. Be sure not to pull at the lace. Remove slowly.

After you have removed the lace, there may be some residue left on the unit.

You should shampoo the unit, and with a towel, delicately rub the residue away.

Finally, let the unit dry naturally. Once dry, you can re-apply and style your hair as you would normally style your natural hair.

Why choose Lace Wigs?

Lace wigs represent the latest technology for non-surgical hair replacement in the world today. A lace wig when designed

and constructed properly will be the closest thing to your own real hair, or can replace the hair you never had. It is the

most natural, most beautiful, hair replacement system imaginable today. It is made out of real human hair and hand tied

into a very sheer lace base one single hair at a time. It should look so natural that it can be virtually undetectable to

anyone, even at a distance of only a few inches away. You can wear it for weeks at a time without removing it. you can

comb your hair straight back, part it in the middle or even go swimming with it. There are no limitations to your look or

lifestyle. You can shower, sleep, perm, blow dry, iron, wash or do anything you would normally do. You can finally have the

hair you always dreamed about.

What is the difference between Lace Front Wigs and Full Lace Wigs?

The term "Lace Front Wig" and "Full Lace Wig" are virtually the same; a lace front wig, or other known as a full lace wig has

a very natural front hair line and is constructed with fine lace in the front and a variety of materials in the back of the head.

A full lace system is the ultimate system since it will look natural from every angle regardless of how the hair is brushed or

styled. The object of a lace front wig or a full lace wig is to look beautiful and natural. You do not want anyone to ever think

you are wearing a wig. A full lace system is usually preferred and is the ultimate in the style, design, beauty and

naturalness.

How long can the Lace Wig last?

A Lace Wig unit can last for many months or even years depending on your usage and upkeep. The types of glues that are

used during the application method also applies to the life span of your unit. For example, the lace wig can be compared to

the tires on a car; of course, the more you drive your car, the more worn down the tires become and the need for

replacement  becomes greater. The idea remains that if you plan to wear your wig more often, the natural need for a new

unit will become greater as the hair degrades due to extended periods of use.

Can I wear this wig even If I have my own hair?

Yes. You will have to make your own hair as flat as possible, by wrapping or braiding it. Then apply a flesh toned stocking

cap over your natural hair to simulate your scalp color.

What If I have experienced severe hair loss due to an illness or chemical damage? Is this type of wig right for

me?

Absolutely! We highly recommend this system for anyone with any kind of hair loss or undergoing chemotherapy. If you

suffer from a medical condition where you have experienced severe hair loss, it's recommended to proceed with full trench

or full Swiss lace. This will ensure the most comfortable "perfect" fit.

Can I swim or go to the gym and sweat with this wig on?

Yes. You can do your usual activities with this wig on daily. Only avoid swimming or sweating for 24 hours after applying

adhesives and tapes. If you use the Safe Grip Copolymer bond, you only have to wait until it is dry. Other than that, no one

will ever know the hair is not growing from your own scalp. Also make sure you use a waterproof adhesive. Not all

adhesives and glues are waterproof. The combination of the scalp protector and safe grip polymer bond will ensure the

strongest and best water-resistant application available.

How to identify the human hair?

It is easy to see this for yourself when you receive your product. Simply remove a few strands of hair and burn them.

Human hair has natural proteins, so it is reduced to ash and produces an odor when it is burned. However, synthetic hair

melts into a sticky ball when burned, so it is very easy to tell the difference. Moreover, human hair may have a few gray

hairs or split ends. This is not a quality problem. It is very natural.

What is Bleached Knots?

When the hair is tied to the lace, a knot is made to secure the hair in place. Bleached knots are hand tied knots that have

been lighten to appear less noticeable. The bleached knots can't give you the complete undetectable knots. If you like

complete undetectable knots, you should choose the silk top.

What is Silk top?

The silk top, consists of a layer of lace, and silk fabric on the top front of the cap. When the hair is knotted, the knots are

below the silk concealed between the layers, the hair is then injected through the silk material making the knots 100%

invisible giving the illusion that the hair is actually growing out of your scalp. There is no other ventilation technique that

creates a more flawless appearance than hidden knots on a silk top, you don’t need to bleach the knots, you don’t need to

worry about any other technique to make the knots invisible or less visible.

How to wash?

Gently brush the wig thoroughly with a wig brush. Add one tablespoon of wig shampoo to a sink filled with cold water.

Immerse wig for one minute and agitate gently. Do not rub.

Rinse the wig gently in cold water twice or until thoroughly rinsed.

Blot the wig gently with a towel. Do not squeeze or wring.

Apply conditioning spray very lightly over the wig, spraying 10-12 inches from the wig.

Allow the wig to air dry on a slender object like a can of hairspray or a shampoo bottle covered with a hand towel.

Styrofoam heads may stretch the cap.

Do not use a hair dryer. Air dry only. You may gently style the wig with your fingertips.

Brush  only when completely dry. Do not allow the wig to dry in direct sunlight.

The frequency of washing depends on factors such as air quality and humidity. Generally, a wig should be washed after it

has been worn 8-12 times, but this can vary.

How to maintain?

When combing the wig, please comb form the ends, then up to the roots.

If there are knots in the wig, do not pull on it strongly; instead steam the wig (such as by placing a hot towel over it.)

You may use specific oil for wig hair Glowmist Spray or Styling Spray to make it shinier.

Do not apply hair dye to the wig, but water based hair styling products may be used, such as wax and hair mousse.

When blow drying the wig, you must use low heat for a short period of time only to avoid damaging the wig.

You may get a hairstylist to style the wig if you prefer.
